The concept of living and working in an overlander van evolved from years on the road as a documentary photographer. I realized that travel overheads like flights, hotels, and logistics, are often the heaviest burden on a project's budget. or a client, these overheads can make booking the right photographer (no matter how well they fit the brief) economically unviable once travel expenses become a disproportionate addition to the professional day rate. By operating with a fully equipped vehicle, I’ve removed these barriers. I can offer my standard day rates without the weight of added travel expenses, no matter the location in Europe. This setup grants me the freedom to remain in a region to pursue personal landscapes and work on "slow journalism" projects, while seamlessly integrating paid assignments.
