My (sometimes) bumpy photographic path didn’t start with shooting bike sports, everything started actually with skiing and downhill unicycling…

But - it was a long lasting companion over many years and a superb playground to refine my photographic skills. For me it was invaluable - having this awesome base of very talented athletes and people, been so patient and believed in my talent. Also getting the chance capturing such a broad range of varieties, like in bike sports, is a huge benefit. It was the very best playground working on my camera handling (under pressure), trying new creative techniques or finding the perfect framing with the goal to shoot in true-frame. Not shooting the same stuff over and over again and finding new angles, was one of the many benefits - learning to encounter life with eyes and mind wide open.
