Excuse me?!

Let the journey begin…

Hello and welcome to my nomadic blog! Over the last six months, I'v been laying the foundation from my new project "almost nomadic". Creating an identity and a logo, building my new homepage, including this fancy blog - to name just a few things. Now, it’s time to tackle the next big step: the conversion of my VW T5 4Motion into a full-scale overlander. The build begins this January, and once the van is ready, my journey through Europe begins...

chasing

the decisive moment

Over 15 years ago, I started as a professional photographer. Years who been accompanied by many adventures and journeys - from the Middle East up to the Polar Circle. En route by plane, rental cars or as a passenger in camper vans, traveling with friends. During this period one of my biggest dreams was, holding once again an overlander-van on my own...

On this blog you'll find content about our life on the road, some exclusive photo previews from ongoing projects, articles on analogue photography like developing techniques and also some of my personal woolly thoughts. Rest assured, things won't get boring around here! Stay tuned and subscribe this blog to your RSS feed or add it to your bookmarks.

Alright folks, let the journey begin! Whenever I’ve reached a point of despair in life, with no clear path ahead, a door has somehow opened, leading me toward a different route. Even if these new paths didn’t seem like game-changers at first, in retrospect, they were always setting the course for new perspectives.

A few years ago, my life was redirected in a way that didn’t look promising initially. But ultimately, those uncertain years rerouted me toward entirely new horizons. One long-desired dream was to own an overlander van. A step pushing my photography to the next level. Being as mobile and flexible as possible is essential to my work. Now, with a van equipped with everything I need, from a living space to a workstation, I have a tailored setting for my business, allowing me to work without geographical limits.

The next step is the full conversion of my VW T5 4motion into a true overlander. This includes a custom roof rack, sand ladders, light panels, and a suspension lift, followed by a complete interior redesign for mobile living and working. Once the van is ready, the next major project will be setting up a mobile analogue laboratory. This will give me the freedom to develop and digitize analogue film on the road, even off-grid. If all goes as planned, we’ll be hitting the road for our next adventures this spring.

So stay tuned!
